No health certificates or vaccinations are required upon entering Latvia, but visitors are advised to have an inoculation against tick-borne encephalitis, which is a dangerous disease (especially risky time is from March to October). Beware of it when residing in the countryside and walking in forests and meadows. Infection with tick-borne encephalitis may induce an influenza-like illness, with a second phase of fever occurring in 10% of cases and different other, possibly life-threatening, complications. To obtain more information, consult with your GP. |
